Day 1 – Arrival at Bagdogra Airport – Gangtok (124 km/4.5 hrs approx.)

Your Darjeeling Gangtok tour starts when you arrive at Bagdogra Airport. Our tour representative will pick you up from the airport and will assist you to Gangtok. On arrival, complete the check-in formalities and unwind. The rest of the day is at your leisure. In the evening, you can take a stroll nearby the hotel, if time and energy permit.

Dinner and overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 2 – Gangtok: City tour

On the second day of your Gangtok itinerary for 5 days, wake up to a beautiful day, and after breakfast, proceed for a day trip to Tsomgo Lake. It is a glacial lake, known as Changu Lake, known for its natural beauty. After the tour, return to Gangtok. The evening is free at your leisure.

You can enjoy shopping at MG Marg and Lal Bazaar and get yourself traditional dresses, Thangkas, wall hangings, and tea as souvenirs.

Later, return to the hotel, have dinner and sleep comfortably.

Day 3 – Gangtok – Darjeeling (97 km/4 hrs approx.)

OOn day 3 of your Gangtok Darjeeling Tour 5 Days, have breakfast and check out. Proceed for a half-day tour of Gangtok. Visit Banjhakri Falls, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Center, Flower Show, Do-Drul Chorten, and the Institute of Tibetology. Later, we will drive you to Darjeeling, Queen of the Hills. On arrival, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel where you’ll check in and rest. You can spend the remaining day however you like.

Later, savor dinner and hop onto the bed for that much-needed sleep.

Day 4 – Darjeeling (Sightseeing)

Wake up pre-dawn on day 4 of Sikkim Darjeeling Gangtok and leave for Tiger Hill to witness the beautiful sunrise over Kanchenjunga peak. Later, return to the hotel for breakfast. After this, embark on a sightseeing tour of Darjeeling. Visit Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) to spot the rare species of high-altitude Himalayan animals like the Snow Leopard, Siberian Tiger, Red Panda, and many rare mammals and birds.

Later, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) to see the collection of mountaineering gear used by legendary climbers during the Himalayan expeditions. Later, head towards the Tea garden, Ghoom Monastery, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, and Batasia Loop. Do not forget to visit the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center. You can also visit shops at the local markets where you can find hand-knitted items and woolen clothes.

Return to the hotel for dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Day 5 – Darjeeling – Bagdogra Airport (70 km/3 hrs approx.)

This is the last day of your Darjeeling Gangtok package tour. After a delicious meal, pack your bags, and check out from the hotel. You will have an assisted transfer to the Bagdogra Airport from where you will board the flight for your onward destination.
